Most of these designs are based on ideas that I had a long time ago, particularly for many the Sheffield-based designs. For example, the Ay\/Up and Nah'Den designs were something that I sketched out on the back of an old schoolbook many years ago. Like with all good ideas, if you don't start putting them out there at some stage, then someone else will. After speaking to people (usually down the pub) over the years, enough people showed enough interest in my ideas, that I finally thought - what the heck, let's give it a go! The main aim of the designs is simply to try and put a smile on people's faces.<\/p>
I have spent years teaching (in more than one discipline) however, I used to get called in to schools in the early noughties to deliver what I had called \"The Human Problem\". If I were to design t-shirts, my one stumbling block was sustainability and environmental issues. I genuinely believe that these t-shirts are the most sustainable on the planet, but I live to learn. Therefore, if anyone knows of a more sustainable way to do this (short of abstinence) I would welcome your opinion on my Facebook\/ Instagram page... After all, as it says on my home page, I don't believe that great designs and clothing should come at the expense of the planet. That's why our moto is:<\/p>
